Holiday Tartan Tea

We invite you to join us for the Holiday Tartan Tea on November 8th. This event is a benefit for the PHDA. There will be a High Tea with delicious teas and lunch, a Silent Auction with various items (just in time for the Holidays!), and Highland dance and piping performances.

The Holiday Tartan Tea is brought to you by volunteers of the dance association, local dance teachers and their dance students. This promises to be a fun event!

Do you have an auction item you can donate? Bring it to the Fall Competition on October 25th. Dancers who want to serve or perform please contact your dance teacher to sign up.

Entry Forms, Dance Schedule, and New Events

We are pleased to announce the competition dates for the 2014-2015 dance season. Fall Competition will be on Oct .25th. Winter Premier Competition and Pre-Premier Festival on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14th. The Spring Competition will be April 25th.

Primary/Beginner Debut

Designed for dancers who are not quite ready to compete but who would benefit from a performance opportunity at one of the dance competitions. No entry fees are required.  There will be no judge’s critiques, prizes or participation gifts. Dancers may debut at only one competition.  Dance teachers will contact the competition organizer with names of students ready to debut. Talk to your dance teacher is you would like to participate.

2015 Winter Premier Competition, Pre Premier Festival and Premier Workshop

New this year, a festival exclusively for Pre Premier dancers. The Winter Competition will feature a competition for Premier dancers Saturday morning and a festival for Pre Premier dancers in the afternoon.

A festival looks very much like a competition but there are no prizes awarded.  Instead dancers receive written comments from the judge for each dance. At the end of the festival, the judge will share general comments with the dancers and audience before the dancers receive their personal written comments. This is a wonderful opportunity for Pre Premier dancers to get personalized feedback.

The Premier workshop will be on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Workshop Instructor will be Mary Munro, Burnaby, BC.

We look forward to you joining us for a fun filled dance season!
